Bring Christmas Home on Small Business Saturday

Forget Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the most important Christmas shopping day of the year is this Saturday, when small businesses throughout the UK pull out all the stops to keep the Great British High Street alive and kicking.

As a small business owner I can say, hand on heart, that every single purchase at Moo Boutique Yorkshire is important to us, no matter how big or small. Every customer that comes through the door is one we want to satisfy and encourage to return.

We want you to leave our store excited with your new purchase and for that feel good factor to continue, wear after wear. If you’ve got a special occasion to go to, we love to help you find that perfect outfit that no one else will be wearing. And if you’re struggling to find a look you are happy with, let us help take the stress out of the situation. We may need to crack open a bottle of prosecco (seriously, we don’t need much persuasion) but our little boutique is all about feeling at home, taking time to try out new looks and making sure the shopping experience is all part of the fun of getting dressed.

Is gift stress getting you down? Does the thought of a packed out shopping centre bring you out in a rash? (us too!) Panic not because we are a team of experienced stylists and shoppers so come and bring in your list. We love a challenge and will delight in helping you find presents that spark actual joy, hand picked and hand wrapped… what could be nicer?!

Of course I am passionate about shopping local as a business person, but as a parent and homeowner it is important to make it a habit too. Keeping our high street alive is a key concern now that I’m bringing up my own family and am conscious of what the future holds for them. Of course the internet revolution has changed shopping habits forever and we all have to adapt to that, but it’s also created a new appreciation of face to face customer service which can never be replaced by screen shopping. Helping our town thrive has a positive impact on house prices, public services and local employment and, after a year of political uncertainty, it has never felt more important to support our own towns.

I am super proud that Moo Boutique Yorkshire has gone from strength to strength over the past three years, but we can never rest on our laurels. We don’t always get it right, but when we don’t, we strive to learn from any mistakes we make. Unlike bigger chain stores, we are on the frontline, listening to customer feedback and responding to your needs.

So please pop in and see us this weekend and help fly the flag for Small Business Saturday. Following a frantic sale period, we are all re-stocked with gorgeous new Christmas stock that we can’t wait to see you in!

Let’s get this party season started in style.
