Your School Holiday Survivors Kit

A blurry eyed hello from Moo HQ where I’m taking a brief break from the shop after my second son Fletcher arrived safe and sound, but not without drama of course. (I’ll spare you the details!)

With a newborn and toddler in tow, it’s fair to say getting dressed in the morning isn’t a glamorous affair. Instead it’s about reaching for a safe bet outfit that is comfortable for all the running around, but isn’t going to compromise on our basic style requirements!

I could not survive without my trusty One Size Wonders and with all my school mum customers in mind, I thought I’d let you know about a few favourites that may just become your BFFs this summer!

1. Angels Wings T-Shirt

This long line loose fitting T is perfect for throwing over leggings, jeans or even a bikini! Style it up with bracelets and layered necklaces for a boho/ rock chic look that says; I’m with the band (or more likely the baby!)

2. Wide Leg Linen Dungaree Jumpsuit

We are all a bit crazy for this super cool jumpsuit that has more than a bit of a decorators vibe about it.  It’s hitting all the summer style notes in easy breezy white, but also comes in a more forgiving black linen if, like me, you’re the one that’s likely to be decorated … in ice cream, felt tip pen, baby sick etc etc

3. Linen Shirt Dress

Shirt dresses are everywhere this season and this one is a total classic. Wear with flip flops and a suntan to look super sophisticated, even when you might be feeling super frazzled.

4. Tie Dye Jumpsuit

When you use the words tie die and jump suit in the same sentence, you know you’ve done your fashion maths. Comfy enough for park life but cool enough for the pub - what more could you ask of a one piece wonder? Be quick to snap one up before they go.

5. Eb & Ive Tunic

You’ve heard of the LBD, now meet your LBT. The Little Black Tunic is the secret weapon in your summer wardrobe armour. Perfect for those ‘I don’t know what to wear’ moments. Throw it on over jeans or shorts and make like the French girls do, with a floppy hat and big shades for day and strappy shoes for night.

Simple, easy to wear and super stylish. With potential baby brain tendencies this summer, at least that’s one less formula I need to worry about!

If you need help with your wardrobe planning, call in and see us in store where there is new stock arriving daily and a member of the crew will be delighted to talk you through the options.

Happy school holidays all!
